WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. A random additional substat is also increased with every upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less important for those with higher variance because of the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The Item Level Upgrade upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any kind of armor or weapons. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every few weeks to keep your equipment up to date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item upgrade, but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items which can be used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and other items. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for various currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any weapon, tool or armor. button, which displays an image of the item upgrade at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item upgrade and current item level and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of Flightstones or crests used. Once an item upgrading is upgraded to a certain level, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

Upgraders for items are available in a variety of locations including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount as well as a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrading increases as more items are upgraded.
