The best rated robot vacuum Robot Hoover

The best robot hoover can clean and mop without requiring your attention, and it will leave your floors clean. Its low cost and high-end features (such as dirt detection) are pluses.

Both the Q5 and the Q7 Max Series get very excellent scores in our tests on floors that are bare and are particularly effective at cleaning pet hair. However, they do have some flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. One of the Q5's shortcomings is that its navigation system doesn't feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's therefore prone to getting stuck on shoes and socks, and it couldn't navigate rooms with lots of people well in our tests. It doesn't also come with a camera to look around corners.

It's still a good deal particularly if your office or home has a lot of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save money. It's also very quiet and can be used when you're at work or at school. The only thing it doesn't have that you won't find in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. And it's less effective at mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes that don't stay on very well and can't deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 does have an auto-emptying dock, however. If you're required to mop, the mopping pad can be replaced with one that is wet in just a few just a few seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming capabilities into a compact, sleek package. Its nimble navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it simple to clean and efficient in dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also features a self-emptying dustbin, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the most efficient robotic hoover for carpets, however it's not as good as other hoovers in terms of deep cleaning.

This highly efficient mop and vacuum combination uses advanced sensor technology to dodge obstacles and pet waste, and it will learn your home's layout over time to ensure more efficient cleaning. It can clean the floor even after it vacuums. This is a feature that we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum/mop combination.

3. IRobot Roomba X40

The robot vacuum and mop combination features a sleek, circular design that looks more like the regular Roomba unit than the boxy models from the rivals. It is one of our most appealing looking robot cleaner with mop vacuums. The newest model from iRobot is among the most intelligent, with advanced features including enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).

It's the only robotic vacuum/mop that scored a perfect 10 in our testing thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that is fully autonomously refill and empty its base station, and it has an its own self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 as with other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It comes with an easy mobile app interface that is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This can be a problem in the mornings before work, or in the evening when you're trying to sleep.

It's also quite expensive but not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally impressive and attractive. If you're willing with a bit more noise and some extra cost this is a efficient two-in-one device that should delight most.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with a lot of advanced features that will let you get rid of your chores. Like Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that takes the care of vacuuming and mopping, with a multi-function dock that automatically empties the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank and washes and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to create floorplans and identify obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its premium competitors. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards, though this wasn't foolproof in our tests and could be confused with power cords or obstructions.

Its best automatic vacuum cleaner has a high suction capacity of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to get the job done. It also comes with a feature called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the vacuum's power and adjusts cleaning frequency for different areas of the house depending on how dirty the areas are.

If you have a larger home, you should consider choosing a model that has zones or spot cleaning modes. This lets you instruct the robot on which part of your house needs to be cleaned using the app or voice command. If you have furniture, a stairway mode is also a good option. For families with busy schedules recharge functions and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to pick up where it left off could be extremely useful.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is more advanced than the price suggests. It's a pro at vacuuming, picking up 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops using one pad, which uses an oscillating motion that cleans better than most of the other mop cleaners for robots we've tried. It's also self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and an auto-emptying washable base.

The well-designed iRobot application guides you through a mapping session that collects data about your floorplan and any "no-go" areas you have marked on the map. It can be used to design cleaning schedules or set up a spot-clean. It can also be used to it to prioritize the most soiled areas to improve performance. The app also grants access to many options, including seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.

It is also able to reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It also has a powerful 8,000 Pascal suction and combs with intelligent technology for pet hair. And you can set up a spot cleaning that scours a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker and less expensive alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive design, similar to Dolce & Gabbana.
