However, unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots we test the i3+ doesn't have any obstacle-avoidance features and therefore it could be stuck on things like socks or power cords, and it can have difficulty navigating across surface transitions like from hardwood to rug.

iRobot suggests that you clear areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, which includes putting away any clutter or toys it may encounter. It's also recommended to keep the bin and filter clear so they don't become clogged with dirt. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or the battery is empty, it returns to its docking station, automatically empties its debris into the station's external dustbin, and then continues cleaning the area where it began. Battery life is about an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes 3 hours to fully charge.

2. iRobot i7+ Roomba

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in iRobot's flagship line and comes with all the latest features. It is self-charging and self-navigating, but the most important feature is its self-emptying bin. This eliminates the need for routine maintenance.

The Roomba i7+ can keep up to 10 floor plans and their names using Imprint Smart Mapping, which lets it map rooms so it can clean them more efficiently. It also works with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and it can control your robot via the app or via voice.

The i7+ is more efficient and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy the dust bin is self-emptying which eliminates a major source of maintenance and lowers the cost of maintenance.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot on how to start, stop, or pause cleaning sessions, as well as to move around the room, and even vacuum a specific area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. Once connected to these services, we were able communicate with the i7+ using voice commands such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options for managing the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

The V10 is powered by a 7-cell energy-dense lithium-ion battery which produces fade-free power for 60 minutes. Its cleaning head is specially designed and drives bristles made of nylon that are stiff into carpet to suck up large dust and crumbs. It comes with three suction modes to suit the task at hand.
